Unhappy Video camera problem

Can anyone tell me that when I replay video on my panasonic video recorder there is " banding " across the screen - about 7 black lines that interfere with the recording ?

Thanks.

Sounds like dirty, or misaligned heads. Try a head cleaning tape first.

It could also be the tape: does it happen with a brand new one?

Cheers alcazar

Just back from town and bought a head cleaning tape and it worked !

Also had another older panasonic with a similar problem which reared its ugly head just before Chrimbo and hence, bought the canon as It was going to be 3 weeks in at Jessops - so, no video at Christmas wasn't an option.

It's fixed now too

Ps. the older panasonic was left outside for the rainiest week at Guy Fawkes night. Dried it out n a radiator for 2 weeks and it's perfect - even the screen hasn't a mark on it ! Didn't even need a new battery, just scraped the terminals of oxide.

Ta again.

Alan.
