Liverpool City Centre Pubs/Restaurants
Up in Liverpool overnight tomorrow with my colleague in his 40's (I'm 32).
We're staying in the Premiere Inn in the City Centre - has anybody got any recommendations of good nearby restaurants? Anything goes pretty much except Chinese!!
Then after a meal a nice bar would be good, nothing too spit and sawdust but no idiots either (if its possible) - he's into his Ale's and I'm happy with that but a nice pint of Peroni or Staropramen always makes a welcome change.......
Grateful of any suggestions from the folks who live there or have been there....
Ta

Don't go to docks, theres only 2 restaurants and one of them didn't have the courtesy to tell us the lunch menu was off so we waited 40mins for f all. And baby cream has a limited menu.
Good restaurants, 60 hope street modern, tapas bar in queen square, cafe rouge.
Bars: Ala Baquba middle ages, Kerova chilled mature students, id stay away from Mathew street. Living rooms is middle aged posh style.
