An extremely expensive custom-made Zeiss one I believe.

Looking at the great wall on Google Earth... I'd say that it doesn't look like the GW of China, just by it's vicinity to a large body of water... it doesn't appear to be the case in G.E.
Part of the wall seems to go nearby a lake.. but it's not shaped as we can see in the picture here..
Judging by the "fan" shaped sediment at the lake/sea end of what I'm assuming you guys think might be the wall.. I'm guessing it's a river.. would be interesting to know where though..

I cant work out the orientation, the great wall certainly comes out to the ocean (Like it shows in the nasa pic)
But there is ocean at top left of the picture hence why i cant work out its orientation??
I dont think its China.

I had this pic as a desktop - got it from the Nasa website, I'm sure I remember them saying that it was New Zealand (South Island).

I've just had a look on Google Earth.
As said above, definitely New Zealand.

Surely that depends on the content of the rations given to astronauts?

China's Wall Less Great in View from Space
05.09.05
It has become a space-based myth. The Great Wall of China, frequently billed as the only man-made object visible from space, generally isn't, at least to the unaided eye in low Earth orbit. It certainly isn't visible from the Moon.
