Default Music online

I used to visit a site where you entered an artist name, song, etc and it let you listen to the track. It was great to see if you liked the song before buying/ downloading it but i can't remember the web address

Does anyone know of a site for listening to music by entering artist name, song title, genre, etc?

You could try imeem.com - they have a mixture of 30 second samples and full tracks, depending on the licence arranged with the record labels.

You may have been thinking of Pandora Internet Radio - Find New Music, Listen to Free Web Radio
Unfortunately they have switched off all users with IP addresses outside the US due to royalty issues. They are working on getting the service back though

Last.fm is great.

You could also take a look at MP3 Sparks, which looks somewhat similar to the infamous AllOfMP3 site. I'm *not* suggesting the purchase of music from there, as that could be seen as dodgy, however, you can search for songs/artists/albums and listen to a preview, and if you sign up for an account, you do get to listen to the full song in preview mode, albeit at a low quality.

Sometimes @ Last.FM they give you the whole track as a sample, i thought that is a good idea and they do that alot.If anyone likes Engima some of the full tracks are there.Don't type in the top right corner, type in the other box and the music automatically plays.
