Went to Zante yonks ago when it was in the middle of a heat wave. Much of the week was spent in the 40's. For me - anything over 35 is damn hot and once you go beyond that it takes a mighty jump in temp to really feel it

I can cope with 45+degrees Celsius. WITHOUT a/c.
Both times was stuck on a boat - once in Egypt on the Nile and the other time in Turkey.
Admittedly the boat in Egypt did have some form of chilled-water cooling, but it just about made it comfortable at night...apart from they switched it off to stop the noise
In Turkey I just slept out on the top deck under the stars.
What does get me is humidity. Kuala Lumpur being one, cooler than the above places but lots of humidity (like your English Summers but 10 times worse).
Buildings and hotels with good a/c make it worse IMO as you can't climbatize to weather. Walk out the door and its like you've stepped into an oven.

When I was in Austraila at the Red Centre (Alice Springs / Uluru / Kings Canyon), it was in the mid 40's on several days. It felt hot but not too hot, perhaps because the heat is relatively dry there.

I'm in Croatia at the moment, by the sea and it's 85 deg fahrenheit in the shade.Alot of rain this year in Croatia since i arrived, has it got something to do with global warming i aint the foggiest idea.Getting towards July and it's 40+ celcius for about a month and a half to 2 months.Only a few rushes of coolish air today though.

June or July in Dubai, 52 was the apparent highest temp we had. Would not have done much active stuff in it, but the temp itself was ok.
Florida is seeing 34-36 at the mo.... roll on next Sat !

Its not the temp, its the humidity I cant stand.
36 degrees (98) in NYC a few weeks ago, with something like 70% humidity is not v nice.
Can cope with that temp as a dry heat no probs though...
