Beaches/Sandals type holiday in the Med?

Looking for a luxury holiday for my family (1 year old and 3.5 year old plus good lady). Don't want the long haul flights to go to a Beaches/Sandals holiday so was wondering if there is anything in the Mediterranean that has the same luxury level for families?

Buy some decent flights and stay in a Parador in Spain.

Paradores de Turismo

Doesn't take much to arrange and you won't have to spend time with the type of people that go on 'Sandals' holidays.

Cyprus is exellent, i stayed at the annabelle 5* in Paphos, very exclusive. formed pools etc and best accom i have ever stayed in,here is the link:
