Tax Free Car Allowance legalities
If a Car & Petrol allowance is given by a company and it is Tax Free (ie not declared on payslip etc) then is this legal ?
I am thinking not, and who is at fault and who is liable, the company or the individual or both
I know the company is wrong as they effectively arent paying NI on that part of the salary (I am assuming at least that part)
The amount is 400 quid a month and is BACS paid, but not declared on P11D (I dont think) and not on payroll or payslips
How wrong is this, and potentially how much trouble could you get in for it ?
