Been trying to find out what happened. It was taken at the old Hong Kong airport (Most dangerous landing in the world ?????).
Call me sad (if you must), but I found a worrying number of photos air "big" planes landing and touching an engine on the tarmac in similar vane to the movie.
Dangerous landing + plus windy ??? = big moments !

That airport is now closed and the new one has a lot more land around it!!
I've been on many a landing there! First of all it looks like you will hit a mountain, then they do a 90 degree right turn to go straight onto the runway.
As you decend you pass buildings either side, before the landing!!
Apparently only one plane in the many years it was open, has a plane ended up in the water. An Air China plane if you are interested.

Due to change of air pressure just after the 'mountain dodge' there was a time when the plane well 10 metres!! It was fun much like a mild rollercoaster!!
I think everyone though we'd fall onto a building!!

Of course ist std practice for a cross-wind landing to come down like that then kick it straight with the rudders. I've done it a couple of time in a cessna many years ago -but hats off to get the jumbo round like that. Pilot earnt his crust that day.
Gibralter is similair, because the spanish dont (well wouldn't years ago ?) let the planes cross their airspace bounf dor gibralet, you have to do a hard 90 right at the last minute - about 600 to a 1000 feet high, then land on the runway. The runway itself is built across the narrow strip that joins the rock to the mainland. Each end is built out into the sea - with just enough room to turn the plane at each end. Its so dodgy commercial flights couldn't be insured so all flights were specially chartered by the government.
I vistied as an Air cadet at about 14, It was my first ever flight in an airliner - thought its was great fun - Was dissapointed a few years later when I found that not all flights were so "interesting"

There are other videos as I've downloaded them before - the link was in the Professional Pilots Rumour Network bulletin board. PPRUNE.ORG. Well worth a look - we think our moderators are over-zealous !!

When I worked for Tesco 18 or so months ago we were banned from flying on Korean Air because of it's appalling safety record. Actually no great hardship - cr*p frequest flyer programme
The Korean government even banned K A from flying on several domestic routes as a punishment for the airline's frequent safety lapses.
And living near Stansted I'm pleased that I don't live under the flight path itself - K A lost a cargo 747 there in 2000.

Landing at Hong Kong is really scary - you can practically see what people are watching on their Televisions in the high rise building on each side of the runway they're SO close.
The runway strip is so narrow further on, you look out of your window and all you can see is the sea in the harbour,
