Question TOMTOM Help

I have a TOMTOM ONE .... good machine too.

Until recently .... it will not accept/recognise Postcodes now

Has been OK - now, when you input a postcode (it accepts the input of all digits) it simply sits there and asks for a town to be indicated .... when you do that it wants the street ...

It used to simply ask for the house number when the postcode was put in - not now

Before I do a reset and lose all my favourites and settings I thought I would ask here, anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Think you will have to do a reset in my opinion, have you plugged it up to the computer and checked for updates?

Yes, that 'may' do it but I will lose my settings and favourites so it says?

Was hoping that someone may have had the same issue and got around it?

It has a SD card and I have backed it up on the PC.

I suppose a factory reset is what I'll have to do?

Thanks.

Just done a factory reset and it still doesn't take the postcode!!

Strange?

Would the reset button on the bottom do anything? Edit:- just reset on the bottom pushbutton - still no good

The button on the bottom is basically a reboot button. Handy when your TomTom has locked up, or when it won't acquire a GPS lock. Usually when you've let the battery go flat.
