Apparently,he's been clocked on a public road in East London ,at 186 mph in a Veyron .Is this the beginning of the end for Clarkson

The bit im not sure about is apparently this 180+mph is apparently in the Limehouse Link.
Not entirely sure such a thing is possible. High speed yes, but 180+ ?
He made the claim when being interviewed, and I have to agree with the above, cause uproar and high public profile just before the new series starts....

He is just teasing the easily offended, wind up merchant par excellence, hitting all the right buttons, as far as I know you cannot be prosecuted for making a claim, scaked, maybe but I dot think the BBC is quite that daft, ok it might get someone less popular kicked out but not their Golden Goose, how much does TG make for BBC worldwide, it would be like sacking Dr Who !

He's trolling the PC Brigade, and like the up tight suckers they invariably are, they bite and provide him with more notoriety and, consequently, Top Gear with more publicity!

He made a jokey statement about getting a speeding ticket for 186mph in a Veyron in the Limehouse Link which is obviously and patently untrue. The idiots that have taken this comment seriously need to get their heads from up their *****.

I dont know about you lot but im least tempted to believe what a bloke says when he wears jeans and a smart jacket and is over the age of 50! He needs to be wearing chinos and a shirt. So what?! If you need to watch a programme and have someone say 'this is a good car, go buy it' you have less imagination than a goldfish! Go to the dealers, find a car you like the look of, have a test drive and if you like it, buy it, job done! You might buy a car that JC said was the best in the world but then find that you hate it...then you'd probably post up here and say 'JC is crap and knows **** all about cars!'

I was just simply saying what i thought of him i didnt know there was a law against it!
We're all allowed our own opinion!
How would you like it if he crashed into you doing the 186mph im sure you would have plenty to say then, i seen him a few years ago in wales doing atleast 70 in a 30 so its not the first time he's done it and thinking he's clever, lets hope its not you or your family he crashes into eh

Steph, Have your opinion, let everyone else on SN have theirs. Top Gear is more of an entertainment show these days, than one that does serious reviews. Enjoy it for what it is.
Thankfully it's not as dire as Fifth Gear, as that is just sh*te
Let JC, RH & JM make any claims they like, they are just after viewers and people to buy the books Saying that, I still find them funny as ****

Why do people go off and one and villify people who admit to driving at speed?
I regularly do 110- 130 mph on the bahns, and have done for years, so why do people get on there high horses when people admit to driving faster?
