Default Extreme adventure break

Hey All

Me and a mate have decided to do something out of the normal run-of-the-mill breaks.

We saw sometime ago an advert for a company that organises for you to fly Mig fighter jets (in either Ukraine or Russia).

Can any direct me towards the correct site (or an alternative site). I have tried googling already.

Cheers
Ian

I'm going diving in summer, but not sure if that's that "extreme", though

Edit: sorry, i didn't realise you wanted specifically the MIG adventure stuff - ignore me.

I don't know how much but I have heard that it is very pricey. If it wasn't I'd be doing it too!

Chernobyl Tour - Ecological Tour to Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant

Seems fairly extreme but without exerting too much energy. I really want to go but I've got orders to take family abroad first.

I have tried to explain she'll get a better tan there

Funnily enough both our mothers have flatly refused to allow me to take our daughter - I never intended for her to come but it was the first thing the grandmothers said when they heard where I wanted to go.

i want to do the chernobyl tour too. Looks fascinating.
The most amazing thing i've found out is they actually kept the remaining two reactors running for a couple of years after the accident!
Amazing!

Creepy, but grimly fascinating!

Also..

The first trip where, rather than it costing you an arm and a leg, you develop an extra arm or leg?

Actually, if you look on the site, its cheaper the more of you that go. If you go on a date with say 5 other people and you are a group of 5 you all pay the 10-15 rate at $135.

You go to the reactor first, then Pipyrat and the Red Forrest and if the road is driveable the scrap yard where they dumped all the military equipment.

I was planning July but then the wife piped up and wants some sun first. All I want to do is just experience the desolation and take as many pics as I can cram onto a 4GB card.

Its more worrying trying to find a decent hotel that isn't mafia run and full of who'ers to fleece you. My SD card will be hidden in my pants after the tour just in case.

Actually, some of the older folk went back. The evacuation was taking too long so they were told it was only temporary and leave their stuff. They were moved to nearby towns and given some money. This upset the townsfolk who had nothing so the displaced were never really accepted. Some of the older people thought bugger that and went back. They are ok. Wildlife is thriving there.

its a dodgy place yes but its not set foot off the plane and your teeth fall out.
