I need broadband - help!
I need broadband - but theres a problem - i dont have a land line installed :/
Basically i live in a static caravan on our farm. Currently i use wireless internet from the farm. Sometimes its ok, sometimes its a nightmare.
Im after a provder that will provide a land line AND offer broadband too.
I will hardly be using the land line so needs to be cheap as possible tarriff but dont mind paying a bit extra for the broadband.
Can anyone recommend me anyone?
Ben

you'll be spending about £10 a month on the line plus about £15/month min on the broadband i think - unless sky do a cheaper deal in conjunction with tv???
to add 8mb broadband to my sky package at the same time as upgrading to sky+ and taking their phone service is as follows
sky + £26/month for family pack (no sports or movies)
sky phone - nil for basic free evenings and weekends calls
sky broadband - nil for 2mb connection or £5/month for 8mb connection
HTH!

two other solutions...
1) run an extension cable at a reasonable level and reasonably well protected from the farmhouse.
2) run a cat5e external cable (different grade to usual cat5e) from the farmhouse at a reasonable level - ie one you won;t hit with lorries, tractors, trailers etc. i say cat5e because it's cheaper than cat6, 7 etc etc

£15 to £25 per month for 7.2 Mbit wireless internet via vodafone, Orange, O2 etc etc
performance is patchy but may work for you if strong mobile signal.
