P60 question - one for the employers
Do you get a P60 irrespective of when you started employment in a tax year?
My wife started her employment in December and she asked today for her P60. Her boss told her she won't get it until she completes a full year.
Now I don't think this is true as it relates to the tax an NIC paid through PAYE in a tax year.
Can anyone confirm this? I need her P60 to complete her return as I think she can reclaim some of her tax back.

She should get a P60 to tell her what she has paid in tax and NI in the period up to 05 April 2008. It should be given to employees before 19 May 2008 (I think).
Our payroll software (Sage) generated a P60 for everyone that had worked for us between 06 April 2007 and 05 April 2008, including those that had left or joined during the year.
