Did you know that if you pay Ł1.15 a litre for SUL and get 18 MPG, you only get 3.45 miles per pound!
Quite shocking really, particularly when you add in road tax and insurance and general wear and tear.

That's about the same as taking the bus then and probably cheaper than most trains!

No it's not. Wear on tyres, brakes and drivetrain components to start with. I destroyed a set of brake pads in 2 off-road rides - that's at least Ł7 per ride for those two rides alone.

Funny that Ive had my bike about 7 years now and only ever bought 1 service and back wheel for it. Covered plenty of miles too.

I only Live 1.5 miles from town so thought I would take the bus, I was expectting it to be about 50p............

I jumped back off the bus and walked instead, that makes my total bus journies in my life a big fat zero!
