With reference to what it actually means, well, there were SO many posts about said SIAL, that it became the ScoobyNet unofficial term for "this has bee posted quite a few times"!

No you're not a doofus - you have to have been part of the "clique" for a while to get it

Consider yourself part of the clique!!!

if you see SIAL on it's own like this "SIAL!!!!", it's what complete and utter nerds type-checker does, if you see it like this "sorry if SIAL, but have a look at this" it is what unsure people type to prevent the C.U.N.T's (complete & utter nerd type-checker), from being offended and subsequently typing "SIAL!!!), the addition of exclamation marks or an annoyed smily is usually seen too.

In the few posts here, CD, you've proved you can spell, punctuate and your grammar is up to scratch. Oh and then there's the fact you worked it out after 1 clue and you have a working sense of humour. That demonstrates clearly that you aren't a doofus but that you are in a minority on SN that attended school.

Actually, I didn't, seriously. I thought it was a joke, so didn't try, it was to easy, oh and I didn't want to go to the same stuck up school as my brother.
