Wohoo! Local Elections soon!
As usual, people will tell me I will be wasting a vote but the main three won't be getting my vote .
Must see who the alternatives are.
Mind you, can't even pronounce most of the Councillors names No more Mr Smiths or Jones vying for the votors either in the town where I work or where I live

Agree that the main 3 are useless.
We have an independent at present due to Labour losing one of the safest seats in the country after pushing an all women shortlist on us a few years ago.
The male Labour candidate was not allowed to run so resigned from the party.
Maggie Smith won the seat.
When they ran the local elections again she lost spectacularly to the former labour candidate who ran independently.
He died of brain tumour so his wife ran - and won.
Then when the local elections were run again - she won again.
Why - because Labour beleived that in its heartland constituents would vote for a monkey if it wore a Labour rosette. How very wrong.
When asked what she thought of the outcome of the local election that red headed short bint in the cabinet whose name eludes me (plus i dont care to remember) replied "its only a matter of time before we win the seat back" WTF!!!!!
Comments like that do wonders for party reputations.
