You may well think I am biased but I make no apology for wishing the RAF a very happy 90th birthday today and add my full respect for all those who risked or lost their lives in our defence during all that time.

Stood down at the Thames today at Canary Wharf with a hell of a lot of other people watching the fly past. Good to see the Red Arrows even though it was very brief and no aerobatics took place, only smoke trails. The Typhoons that flew with them are bloody huge though

I've just bought Bomber Boys and am very much looking forward to reading about the stories of the RAF bomber crews who, with a very few exceptions, were over-looked during the 2nd World War.
