Great save, but not quite as spectacular as doohans near save at Phillip island (i think) turn 1 a few years ago. Jerez turn 1 that Edwards is at is a 50mph corner, Doohan held it up on his knee at 120mph+ for what seemed like an age before finally dropping it. Can anyone remember that? Can't find it on you tube.
Or maybe Mamolas bucking bronco rodeo ride on the NS500 triple that made the 6.00 BBC news IIRC

Well not really, he would have just fallen off the inside as the front washed out, which is most definetly not a tank slapper.

That reminds me of an Eddie Lawson knee-save! Eddie wouldnt have been as impressed with himself and showed off to the stands though.....

Did you catch Lorenzo's awesome save in the first half too I thought he was getting of the back of that for sure
I missed the live BBC coverage this weekend, so had to make do with the Eurosport repeat that evening, I'd forgotten just how f*cking annoying Rider is

Toby, Julian and Randy are gods of commentary.
Steve and Charlie manage, and god only knows how, to make MotoGP unexciting.

Toby and Randy are indeed great
I also have no problem with what Julian Rider has to say, but he has one of the most grating voices on telly, add that to the fact that after all the years it still hasn't occurred to him that if he takes a breath before he starts talking, he may actually be able to finish a sentence without sounding like he's about to have a coronary
I personally don't mind *** and Parrish, and I find it quite amusing that they're often so busy talking complete bollox that they actually miss something important happening on the track
PS:I think you'll find by the way, that Jack Burnicle and James Whitham are the true gods of TV commentary
IT's just a shame that no-one has got the bottle to give them a shot at MotoGP

Have to agree there, after they have warmed themselves up with the 125 and 250 races, they are on fire by the time the Moto GP starts. They seem to have a great time and having Randy Mamola in pit lane giving both technical and rider views works a treat and The only downside is that during add breaks i have to pop back to the bbc, and get sent to sleep.

I seem to remember ronnie scott doing a test in a car park in the early 90's to see how low he could get a bike before it low sided....as i recall he said the bike would slip away and then catch again - got to be lucky for it to happen at speed though!
