I'm just about to make a purchase. The only bother is that its expensive to update maps!!! How can i be sure the new leighton buzzard to MK bypass is included??
Any idea how long you get free map updates for following a purchase?
Is traffic free for life, irrespective of where you purchase?
Cheers,
Matt.

Through Tomtom Home you can get map updates for free - users send in map errors or road changes and once verified by Tomtom they get released.
I've got a 720T and its ace - can be a pain if the TMC can't get a signal but when it good it is really handy.
You have to remember that Tomtom uses TeleAtlas maps which are about two years old but the tomtom map updates help. Most of the new roads in the South East seem to be on the current map, there a couple that aren't but nothing major.

oh yeah - the in-built speaker is very quiet which means if you use it as your phone hands free you won't make/take many calls in the scoob above 40mph.
But thats a good thing

As with most satnavs because they all use the same map data. There are only 2 mapping providers in the UK, teleatlas and navtek. I find the latest tomtom map to be quiet new (v7.xx), it even has the roads in the new estate down the road.
