Was following some chap earlier today and every couple of seconds I could see he was turning toward his passenger instead of looking where he was going. IMO this is more of a problem than using a mobile phone and that's bad enough over here.

So, I was wondering what the SN collective do.

For the record, I try and look where I'm going even if I'm arguing with the missus.

It really unnerves if the driver looks at me whilst I'm a passenger I don't do it myself whilst driving, I'm too busy looking out for scameras, speedguns, pedestrians, two a breast cyclists, the 40mph everywhere brigade, oh and where the road goes of course

I don't look at my passengers if I'm driving but my seat is that far back I have better vision of the rear seat passengers anyway.

Last person I saw doing that was a young lady talking to her female passenger, just before she drove into my rear bumper when I stopped at some roadworks traffic lights!

I actually hate talking when I'm driving or if I am talking I find myself stopping all the time as I'm concentrating on driving & forget I am talking!

Wife hates going on long car journeys with me as I'm so chatty I also get a lot of passengers that fall asleep on long journeys lol

You don't shut up when you're a passenger though, I remember you nattering on all the way back from Silverstone when I gave you a lift that time

Maybe it was the all free champers you'd quaffed that had done it?

I was thinking about that trip as I wrote that post

The racing, Champers, Fosters and the memory of Status Quo as the sun went down - awesome

Is that me or all the luvverly laydees in the VIP hospitality that were attending to your every need that you're referring to?

It was a fantastic day, I never thought I could enjoy The Quo as much as I did And followed by a topless drive home on a warm summer's evening

Seems the majority look where they're going, so far. Perhaps you lot should move over here

As an aside, as a passenger do you expect your driver to look at you if you talk at/to them? Obviously, you'd prefer them to look what they're doing but if they look at you, repeatedly, do you say something or keep schtumm (sp)?
