Question Why is Easter soooo early this year??

I mean, the clocks haven't even gone forward yet.

So, instead of a nice spring break where you can enjoy getting out in the sun for the first time, it's going to be held in pi**ing rain and freezing dark winter conditions.

Is it some kind of New Labour meddling with the dates, or is there actually a rational reason?

We want our traditional easter break back!!

I think it may be due to the old Gregorian calendar.
Easter hasn't been this early for about 150 years and won't be this early again for another 188 years.

Or so God told me.

Easter is governed by the moon's cycle, can't remember the exact formula though!

Its to do with the moon - equinox thing - Easter occurs so many weeks after the Equinox moon thing that symbolises the lent thing that means that 40 days after then the Easter thing occurs...
There is a window of so many weeks in which the moon can do its thing and therefore when the Easter thing can be.
Moon...
That said, you would think that if Jesus did something as monumental as give up his own life on earth for the benefit of all others, that someone, just maybe would have made a note of the date

It's simple - global warming is making the chicks hatch earlier, so we must all be taxed more to make Easter later again

Ah ok interesting.

So, for once New Labour are not responsible for ruining something. It's the exception that proves the rule.

Which brings me on to my next question - How come the schools have awarded themselves Two Easter holidays then while the rest of us honest taxpayers will all have to work?

Now, that is most definitely typical New Labour socialist style thinking...

Don't worry too much, it will be 220 years before it is this early again and 270 odd years before it will be on the 22nd.
