Is it the beginning of the end of the motorist?
Is this it? are we destined to be priced out of our cars one way or the other and be forced to commute in smelly, unreliable public transport.

Every little scheme they think of to raise more revenue hidden as 'saving the feckin' enviroment'
We moan yet do nothing because we think we think that 20m motorists cant make a difference.
God this country is peeing me off!

To be honest Pete they all pee in the same pot, there is not a political party out there that has the interests of the motorists to heart, its too much of a revenue earner.

This really is going down to the "have's" and "have nots" - the current state of play and the absolutely ****ing rediculous schemes on the horizon is going to split the UK apart.

Chief - you got any wind of plans for protests - the sort where we can turn up and make a difference - the PM will obviously ignore the petition, as they do all petitions on that website.
We need hundreds of people - I'd like to think that people would do it for a "worthy" cause - and that's to nip this squeezing of the working general public in the bud before it becomes even more out of control than it is already. We HAVE to show them enough is enough and they need to control their spending, and I'm afraid an e-petition won't cut it!
I'm sure people will jump on this and scream that it "won't make any difference" and "we'll all get taxed in the end" but please if you're "one of them" save your breath because I care about this country and I've had enough of seeing its values and its people overtaxed, undermined and underencouraged in the name of the "environment, political correctness, and 'equal opportunities,' not forgetting the pointless billions spent on public consultations which ultimately tell us what we already know - that our government is made up of inept, out of touch idiots not worth a £10k salary let alone a £7k kitchen!
Let the insults begin....

Have been looking but not seen anything planned yet, would be first in the queue if there was

Wonder how big the 'Green Army' is that would come out to oppose the motorists who protest?
I have to say, normally I'd be as pathetically not bothered about protesting as the next 'take it on the chin' citizen
Not anymore.........I would join any protest. My placid wife is spitting feathers too

Thats just it. - if we all said **** it and ditched our cars they'd tax us on something else, its nothing to do with getting us out of cars (imo) its purely revenue rasing because they've screwed the economy big time and expect us to bail 'em out.

Couldn't agree more. I find it hilarious that people continue Tory bashing when Labour have f**ked this country up beyond belief under Blair and Brown in the last decade - that's 10 years to "make a difference." What a difference

How the **** can you charge someone to drop someone off at an airport?
That takes the pi55, another tax on our pleasures!
It just encourages me to get some false plates, just drive around not paying anything, there are no police on the roads, so the cameras can take pictures all they like, ill have big sunglasses and a cap on, and the reg wont lead to me, so **** all will come back!
This will start to happen alot, espescially with foreigners or chavs!

Well for starters we all know that it won't be £20. They just say that to get you all worked up. Then they pretend to listen to the protests that will take place, and then they introduce the charge at £5/£10. Which is what they actually want.
I'd protest, but to be honest I am going to leave this country as soon as I can. I need to be here for a few more months while I sort a few things out, then I plan on being gone.
