Question INSURANCE WHILE SHORT TERM LETTING A PROPERTY

Me and my girlfriend will be renting a place soon short term and I wondered how we stand insurance wise, as we would be taking a lot of quite expensive electrical stuff into the property.

Do insurance companies cover contents for short term lets etc?

Any help / advice appreciated

Cheers

Dunno if you can get home insurance for less than a year, I expect so.

In any case, 12 months conetents cover isn't so dear, often anything from £50 to £150.

Wouldn't have thought it would be a worry, I had contents insurance when at a place I was renting, then moved to a bought property and just took the insurance with me by informing them of the types of locks, doors and windows I had at the new place and the new address and that was it, job done . This was via First Direct.

Cheers,

T

pay monthly cancel when you leave providing you have not claimed that should be that, if you claim they will want the remainder of the policy money.

Agreed. Just take out a 12 month policy payable in instalments.
