Mine's gone up 4.8% (nearly £1600 for the year in total). The buggers should be capped

Just got mine in the other day. Haven't worked it out yet, but obviously it'll have gone up above inflation. Just like Gas, Electricity, water, food, petrol, etc etc.

Nice to know though that the Governments inflastion rate is still around 2%. Mind you, they've taken all of the above out of their calculation.

We have to vote them out at the next General Election. What could be worse? Where does our tax go? Anyone who works and chooses to run a car is persecuted. Public services are in meltdown because of rediculous government targets and beaurocricy. In 1990 I paid £140 poll tax. Now I pay over £2k. At least in the 90's public servants were granted pay rises at the rate of inflation. These days these payments are granted to politicians and scroungers.

We are told to expect cutbacks in 24 hr fire cover care for the elderly and policing, despite above inflation increases It does not help that year on year less and less money has come from central government, robably being diverted to the northern labour strongholds no doubt.

I'm in a Northern stronghold and am surrounded by retards (with some exceptions). Went for a walk into town this afternoon, and came across chav scum with child. By god what an upbringing this poor child is going to have.

The little girl was so nice natured and her mum was just a mean bitch. Screaming at her all the time. The poor little girl was approaching a road, so the mum screams "stop right there". So the girl did, but was 1 metre away from the road. So chavscum screams, "well get to the ****ing road then".

She starts to cross the road with chavscum, so she yells "hurry up". The little girl picks up the pace and outpaces the fat overweight heffa, so she then shouts "get back here!". It just did not matter what this poor little girl did, it was just always wrong.

We've stuffed, these are the people who Labour appeal to.

I hate the way that many so called parents scream obscenities at their kids these days the government seems hell bent on banning smacking, but this verbal abuse can be even more damaging I reckon.

I was working on the roof of our local job centre last year, and watching the scum wheeling their kids in to sign on or whatever, swigging a can of stella and screaming at their kids made me wonder what the next generation .

now I'm no statistician , or mathematician, but if inflation is 2% (NL figures)

how come we end up with 4%+ rises. surely this means that the base line inflation is 4%?

Vote me to PM, and watch alll the fat expense accounts and perks get canned.

Along with speed cams & there ilk

its about time the govstapo, entered the real world.

How much above what inflation figure though?....

CPI inflation ~2%
RPI inflation ~4%
Real inflation ~8%

CPI is just totally unrealistic for most people, however its the figure the government like to use as it's the lowest

Includes things like sat-nav's (because everyones got one, they're falling in price so these were added to the calculation not long ago as this helps offset some of the rises elsewhere..) Seems pretty stupid including that sort of thing in the calculation IMO - everyone needs to buy food, water, fuel, electricity and clothes, but you don't buy a satnav every month do you!

Quick Reply: So how much above inflation is your 2008/09 council tax bill?
