Blimey, know that road well, driven it more times that i care to mention.

'enshalla' springs to mind, how the Arabs drive, God willing i will be OK.

Usual form when the weather is like this is to continue on at 90mph 2 foot from the car infront on your mobile - but to put your lights on. Sad but true.

It is a big old road though and i have never seen huge amounts of traffic on it at any times of the day or night. yes ther are other vehicles but it is more like the M45 (God's forgotten motorway) than the M25.

Hmmm 60 vehicle pile-up and they re-open the road in 5 hours. If there is more than one car here, the roads are all fooked for 24.

That's because over here Mick the accident investigation team have to determine the cause. Over there, they already know it, have you seen the way Arabs drive

Looking at some of the photos I'm surprised that the death toll is currently only 3......

from my experience driving in this region, if they had anywhere near the volume of traffic we have itd be daily carnage...that said, if there was that much traffic they probably wouldnt be able to go fast enough to cause any damage...!!!

Looking at the photos, it looks like there were some buses involved.

Crew busses by the looks of it, they ferry the Indian & Pakistani labourers from their camps to the work sites and back.

5 dead in a 60 car pile-up is a bloody miracle considering the two car smash in Gloucester last weekend wiped out 7

But they had the road open again after only 5 hours.

Here they would have kept it closed for at least 2 bluddy days!
