Most stabbings are done with kitchen knives anyhow, so making blades like that illegal is pointless.

Ahhh.. I forgot.. Governments don't think like that do they..

For the record though - I think they're bloody stupid.. what the hell are you doing to do with one of them. On the flip side, a traditionally made sword is a beautiful thing - and I'm not talking about the cheap "samurai" crap you buy for £70.

Same stuff they use in rifle sights, some watches, compasses and the like to make markings "glow" - its a slightly radioactive 'stuff'.

Why you'd want it on a knife is a bit beyond me though.

must admit i was the very proud owner of a rambo knife when i was about 14,i had the one with the survival kit built into the handle.
i seem to remember getting over excited with the wire saw thingy and cutting the bannister spindles in our house, strangly my mother acted like rambo when she noticed what i had done.

I used to have that one. Bought it from the Knife Factory in Florida lol. Gil Hibben makes some quality blades.

I just liked collecting Film Memorobilia as also had the sword from the first blade film. Always wanted the machete Billy has in Predator

In fact it was either on here or one of my shooting forums a chappy bought my knives as movie memorobilia for his home cinema.

I had loads of mates who had Rambo knives at the age of 10 / 11 when I was growing up. My mum wouldnt let me have one, and quite rightly so because I would have used it for dangerous things like carving my intials in trees, helping me build dens and chopping up rope to make rope swings...
One of the lads with the most Rambo knives on my street had a dad who was a senior Merseyside Copper...
Alas times change and now all kids use knives for is cutting people who look at them in a funny way

Common misconseption.

No, certain types are illegal, like automatic openers and ballisongs (butterflys).

The law is a pig on this 1

Basically you can carry in public, a non locking folder with a blade under 3 inches without any reason. Anything else you need a good reason.

I've walked into a cop shop with a 4 inch fixed blade on my belt before after a hunting trip and the cops didn't even blink.

On private land you can carry anything you want as long as its not illegal.

PS: Edit. I am a hobbyist maker and collector and 2 of my bookcase shelves are dedicated to sharps

Oops. Ok I havent still got a flick knife (aka as a stiletto I believe) and butterfly in my bedroom.

My fave is a set of three Gil Hibben throwing knives. Similar to the one Steven Seagal used in Under Siege but smaller. Had plenty of fun with my brother chucking those at a lump of wood in my parents garden.

As already mentioned its strange how things have changed and its frowned upon these days as people end up stabbing each other. Back in the day it was the norm. A mate took one to school and got seen and was then given the slipper in front of everyone in assembly. And Im only 30!

Siletto is a blade style (long and thin), not a type of knife.

Some time soon I might put a small selection on here .
