From that it sounds like suicide, god knows what drove him to that, it is however probably one of the highest pressure jobs you could have, does make you wonder what was going on.

He did not seem like the sort of bloke who would do that. He was highly regarded and it will be a sad loss to his family and the Police.

Mrs Leslie and I were thinking he may have been seriously ill perhap's.

Yes, it mentions "Extra Marital Affairs", which if true would have perhaps hampered his career a bit but it seems a bit draconian, perhaps it was guilt in that case and Leslie's suggestion of illness crossed my mind as well.

My initial thoughts were that he had just expired due to heart trouble or a stroke whilst out on a walk, like Robin Cook did.

Give over, at GMP thats a cause for celebration, in fact him being straight, white and male was a major cause of shame for the force.

I appreciate your sentiment about Mr Todd but how do you have no respect for every other Police Officer in the country, ok, there is the odd **** and you may have had a bad experience but I can only say I saw a lot of good people doing a tough job by and large when I was there, dealing with the worst excesses of the public and the whims of central government.

9.8 out of 10 i have met so far have been complete ******* !! i went through the last couple of years changing these ideas and respecting the police but its no use this year has taught me nope nope nope the majority are absloute ***** who were bullied in school !
