Default Nokia 6300

Is the Nokia 6300 as good as the reviews say it is?
I'm due to upgrade my phone (Nokia 6230i) but not sure what's better.
I just want to be prepared for when the phone calls from CPW and O2 start, offering me free this and that.
(I'm on contract, by the way)

Any help greatly appreciated

I've just got a 6301, which I think is the same.

It works well, I can't fault it.

Evenin' yoof.
Is the 6301 just an upgraded version of the 6300 then?
Does it have a pop-port for a handsfree kit on it?
Ta.

Evening.

I'm not sure what the difference is, my mate has the 6300 and it seems pretty much the same.

Mine linked up straight away to the Bluetooth car kit, but not sure what a pop-port is?

Nokia 6300 is a nice straight forward mobile phone. I like mine.

Pop-port is where the wire/connector for a hard wired hands free kit attaches to the phone, when it sits in a cradle.
Underneath the phone where the charger attaches.

Are these phones (6300, 6301) relatively newly released ones?

It has a charger point (obviously), a mini usb port and a head phone socket. Which is a handsfree thingy aswell.

The 6300 is the perfect replacement for a 6230i. Where I thought the 6230 was perfect, I think the 6300 made a perfect replacement for it, and fitted right in.

Compact, functional and takes a beating.

I now use a 5610 and N95, but rate the 6300 VERY highly

Here you go, full spec and review. Neatly compared here to a Nokia N96 (coming soon)

also check out 6500c (classic i.e. not slider) even nicer than 6300 and available in gold and black and silver.

I have the 6500c in black as personal phone and 6300 as work phone. Whilst I do prefer the overall aesthetics (esp how thin) of the 6500 the 6300 is better built (more sturdy with the metal back, 6500c has thin plastic) and I find easier for texting.

6500c does have 3G and is quad band but does have internal 1GB memory you cant upgrade. 6300 has no 3G, is triband but does have upgradeable memory card.

HTH,
Simon
