Exactly, who is Alonso ? There are not many that I hope and pray to have a really bad season but that plonker is top of my wish list, can't stand the cocky little git.

Yes your right, however Hamilton is sure to be a master, he dominated in Karting and almost every formula he has driven in. He is young & has not had the experience that most have had in F1.
I think his transition to this years reg's will be outstanding.
Lewis is going to be another Ayrton Senna a pure master of his sport, plus he'll also follow Michael's lead.. if he would keep his arrogance in check, if he does it will assure his popularity...and many win's to come....
Fernando Alonso last season, totally undone his outstanding efforts in previous years...silly boy

Agreed.
Hamiltons arrogance level is a concern. He's like the kid at school who is surprised they got an A when everybody else would stake a years dinner money the kid would be top of the class.
Alonso choked and the way he treat Ron Dennis was nothing short of shocking. He is good at what he does though.

No-one knows until the first race, as has always been proven.

I've heard this before about testing but its a good indication of what is to follow IMO.
I am not prepared to believe that Honda are at the lower end of test times through choice. Yet another year, yet another brick with wheels.

Yes that is exactly why I made that post of course.

All F1 drivers and indeed most reasonable race drivers have a heightened level of arrogance. He made his own cocky comments last year about back markers so it was poking through then.
I just agree with pnbond007 that if he keeps it in check he will win many more people over.
It was his comments and mannerism towards the end of last year that showed his arrogance potential and not their "amazement" at his obvious ability.
Don't get me wrong I really like him but then I really like Schumacher. I love the little clip the BBC show of him as a lad racing the Kyosho Infernos in the Blue Peter back garden. I can't manage that level of concentration at 30 and I race the things every weekend

McLaren could get side tracked now the Police are in their offices investigating the whole spy gate saga.
McLaren has had one good season in the last 5 years. No guarantee that the 2008 car will be good. Ferrari are consistent in producing fast cars. Now that Kimi has won the World Championship his confidence will be sky high. He's now comfortable inside Ferrari. In my mind Kimi is going to win this season pretty easily.
Have to admit, I'm not that much of a Hamilton fan. My alliance is with Jenson.

Its strange that you should say that about heightened levels of arrogance. Most of the ones I have met were quite different and the only complaints I have heard about back markers have been perfectly reasonable when they don't look in their mirrors and get in the faster cars' way. I have found that often enough myself and it is not arrogant to mention it in my book.
I suspect that you are being tempted to run him down a bit because of his brilliant potential and his undoubted success.. This seems to be a British "disease" and I think it is unnecessary and a bit of a shame really. He comes across to me as a pleasant sort of a bloke with a wonderfully supportive family and that he has been very well brought up. Certainly don't see any particular cause for criticism so far anyway. A polite manner should not be mistaken for something different just for the sake of it IMO.

[QUOTE=stilover;7693382]Errrr, Kimi / Ferrari might have something to say about that.
Kimi won't win the championship again, he only ended Lewis's domination due to him being let down by the Mclaren team.
