"You rid pliz"
That's what a young man said to me yesterday, when I answered my front doorbell, just before he thrust a sellotape-covered square of card in my face.
I got as far as :" I am an immigrant to your nice country and have no job...........", before I closed the door firmly in his face.
Fek me, beggars now.

Wouldn't have been any skin off your nose to have given him a couple of quid and wished him luck though would it?
Fellow citizen of the world and all that. Must be pretty soul destroying being in a foreign country, perhaps trying to do the best for a family. Buggered if I could do that.
And I am not saying he should be in UK in the first place but may be you can't blame him for trying.
The callers that annoy me are the kids flogging yellow dusters and t-cloths who show some kind of can't-get-a-job ID and are supplied with products by some iffy character trying to make a fast buck. dl

johovas are easy to dismiss,
just tell them they've got 5 mins, then you have to go and give blood.
at least they are polite and well dressed and not looking to cause you harm in any way.
