How much money are you changing up?
Unless you are changing many hundreds or into the thousands, it makes very little difference.
I have always found it best to change up over there.

Use a Credit Card for the best rates, something like Nationwide that won't charge you for using it and will give you the bank rates not the tourist rate.
I was over in Nov and got $2.10 at one point.
I only ever take a mnimal amount of cash, M&S were pretty competitive.

I always take a little cash for tolls, food etc, hop in the car, get to the house then use plastic for most of the time. Prob spend under $1000 in 2 weeks in cash. Groceries etc is usually cash, as is eating out (tipping is easier in cash lol)
But clothes shopping and other activities, all on the plastic
When ya going and where ??
