Planet Rock
Planet Rock is to be closed unless it can be sold (not likely as the current owners say they are selling it due to lack of listeners and the 'fact' that DAB is a dead medium before it gets going
) Link.
It's pretty much the only station that I listen to when I have access to DAB. I guess there just aren't enough aging rockers around to make it viable

From: Going further than the station and back !!! ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz
saw an article on this last week, something to do with costing 7m a year to provide the service and annual revenue was about 50% of this....
apparantly the company wants to push the "online" streaming media, which is now so common!!!
was a great station for jumping on the bed with a tennis racket (ooops i've said to much!!!)

Its the foremost provider of Dad-Rock in the UK.
You will know what we mean when you get to 35, when you have decided you cant stick the charts, Hip Hop, R and B, Dub, Ambient, EMO, Techno etc.
Its like when you give up trendy clothes and wear whats comfortable.

You guys have discovered Shoutcast, right?
I bought a DAB radio a few years ago - the sound quality, even in the one corner of the room where I could get a good signal, was so shockingly bad I couldn't listen to it. I took it back for a refund.
So, now I instead have a Squeezebox, and I get many, many more stations in quality which far surpasses that of DAB, and haven't looked back.

Have a DAB portable in the kitchen ( bought so the Mrs can listen to PR while doing the washing up ) and a seperates one with the main system. Sound quality on both is fine, much better than normal FM or a PC.
