International purchaces & credit card protection
I recently ordered a child's car seat from a supplier in the USA and basically it's arrived and is not what I ordered or was advertised..!
As it was bought via a credit card do I have any protection if the supplier gets difficult..?
Before anyone asks why on earth I bought from the US, I've been after this particular seat for months as it matches the one my 4yr old has (now discontinued in the UK, well different design..) and the £/$ rate made it worth doing (well seemed so at the time.. ).
The supplier has replied promptly and has agreed there's been a **** up and is looking into it. They do seem a very good/helpful Co from the correspondence I've had with them and also whilst ordering via the phone.
My gut feeling is that I've taken a gamble and lost, I'm not holding my breath that this is going to get resolved without at least further outlay on my behalf (ie return postage).
Lesson learn't I suppose..
