Anyone got a monitored house alarm.
Or can anyone recommend one?
ADT obviously springs to mind, as does BT with Redcare
Just thinking of getting one.

Got a monitored alarm for my gaff in Orlando - Pretty handy. If the alarm goes off - they call you on the phone - give the wrong passcode or no answer and the Feds are on the doorstep in minutes.
Sadly - In the UK you'll probably get some Plastic Bobby send you a letter 2nd class asking how things went.

We had ADT one when we lived in Scouseville. If the alarm went off they rang you, told you and said they would only attend if a keyholder was going to be present.... Useful. They would only send for the cops if you were in???

No don't do it "adt" are sh1te trust me you ask 99% of alarm installers they will tell you the same even some of the adt installers
Try a local company or I can get a few names to try, but stay away from most of the big boys as the treat you like a number not a customer
Make sure they are "nacoss gold" as well, shop around get at least 4 quotes telll them what you want not the other way round
If you want any more info pm me your number and i'll give you a call

Opinions are a great thing, and I love to hear peoples.
Still early days yet, but in the thinking process

I had one installed by a local company. Never regretted it, Gp4 inform the police if the alarm is activated and they get no response from me. I also get a discount on the house insurance for having it. The fee includes checking it twice a year which the police insist on to avoid accidental callouts. I regard it as a necessary insurance.
