Default stereo display cleaning

What's the best way of getting marks/ scratches out of the plastic on the front panel of a car stereo and also on a mobile phone display?

would t-cut cause more damage with it being harsh?

cheers

I have used Meguiars Plastx with some success on stereo fronts and phones. It will not take out big scratches (well it may it you keep trying) but it does impove the clarity of the screen no end. Be careful though if you have writing on the lens i.e. the phone brand as it can take it off. Also useful on your lights, dials, etc.Enthusiast Other Surfaces PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish

They used to use Brasso to polish perspex aircaraft canopies during the war.

I've used it on the lid of a Linn turntable, and on a quite deep scatch on a caravan polycarbonate window. It works a treat, but you do have to put some elbow grease in too.

Thare's a blast from the past.

Yes, it will work - just make sure you use a very soft cloth, and apply very gentle pressure with a very small amount - don't want it getting in behind the panel at all.

Ideally take the stuff to bits and polish the clear plastic on its own.
