Wom RMA - you're easliy put off by 1 comment!

I have one for the car that also charges through the cig lighter. Never had this problem at all. I usually have to turn it off around Birmingham, Luton, Leicester due to the pirate radio stations.
Do you have this one or one that plugs directly parallel to the base? I can't use this one due to the casing I have on the iPod so you may have a loose connection.

My main gripe with it is that it doesn't allow you to go below 88.7 FM whereas my car stereo does and I'd pick up less pirate stations that way!
Still as I don't spend that long in the car generally, its better than getting the specialist in car set up done.

Got one and works a treat, only time I have a problem with it is when doing 70mph or so on motorways etc.... I lose the signal so just use my tapedeck connector instead

Mine's great. Many people complain that they can't get a good signal, but that is usually because they can't comprehend the fact that to signals (radio & Ipod) can't really occupy the same frequency!!
