Knowing a few friends that smoke the stuff ( and had a dabble myself

Have dabbled but not a lot, tried most things. If you eep it too once every few weeks or soemthing then i wouldn't worry about it. I used to have a bit of a smoke every couple of weeks in certain pubs.
I have a mate who did it every night for say 6/7 years, he is off it now but is soooo forgetfull its frustrating. SO yes it can do harm, your choice at the end of the day!

Never did me any harm , and that was every day over a 12 year period 
Sorry what were we talking about again..........................
I saw it as an alternative to having a beer whilst relaxing, and playing golf on the Ps2
If it starts to effect your work or other people then obviously that needs to be addressed, but that can be said about anything cant it
Have to admit tho, i still love the smell of it

Most people who smoke it regularly become boring is the main problem I can see with it.

At weekend it can be fun and will have little side effects....however it can be very easy for it to turn in to a daily thing.
Regular use over the years will make you forgetful/paranoid/slow/boring/drain your personality. Users will deny this, and say it doesn't happen......people who have managed to break the habit will say it does.

That's my problem. I see drink as a far worse drug and it's legal! :crazy:
On the 'sauce', people become agressive, stupid, over-confident and incredibly annoying!
On the 'grass' people just fall asleep or want to talk about why chickens have feathers instead of jackets!

I know where your coming from mate, booze creates so much drama/noise and aggression that simply doesn't occur when having a toke
But there are downsides to both.
Ive not touched the green for 2 years or so, and i tell you what, i do feel alot better for it, clearer head, don't seem to get colds/coughs any more, plus along with the ****, have much more $$$'s in the old wallet
It was fun tho, and i do miss it sometimes
It did frustrate me how forgetful i was tho, id always have to look in my diary to remember the girlfriends birthday

I used to dabble in it years ago but not any more.The nieghbors smoke it and you can smell it all the time and it stinks vile........
It comes through the vents in to the young ones bedroom!!not good.

What you can smell is most likely their cannabis farm not them smoking it. Confront them and ask to be cut it on the profits.

I smoked it everyday day for neally 20 years (gave up 2 years ago) It started as just a weekend thing with your mates, make a pipe out of a coke can and then roll around laughing for hours. After a while it became a daily thing but just at night after work, weekends I would start at 10 in the morning doing hot knives and would smoke till I went to bed.
I never smoked joints just did knives and pipes, my memory was really bad and would forget what I was watching on TV when the adverts came on and could not remember no matter how hard I tried.
I kicked it 2 years ago as it no longer did much for me and I was sick of losing tools....I have 3 of most things as it was quicker to buy new than look for it.
As for if it does damage to your brain long term I think the answer is "it depends" I have friends who have smoked it for years and have no issues.
My sisters son on the other hand started smoking it at a very young age and now has cannabis sycosis and she has not seen him for 2 years as he lives in a special home and is very unstable.....he is only 24.
For me it should be regraded as you just do not know how it is going affect people.

I'm guessing none whatsoever.
All regrading will do is create more criminals it won't stop anyone doing it. It doesn't send out any sort of message because nobody will be listening or paying the slightest bit of attention.
Harm reduction is the way to go not increasing harm by giving people criminal records.

I dont mind what people do in there own homes,but you can smell it say 60% of the time,if you open the window or the back door,but its the kiddies bedroom im more concerned about.Ive blocked the grill up but it still seems to get through!

The smell isn't going to get them high or effect them. It's just a pungent smell.
Why not just tell the neighbours it's a problem and you'd like them to do something about it?
They'll probably move the hydro setup and lights to another room.
