Default Cheap wireless cctv cams on ebay ??

Anyone any knowledge off these cheap wireless cctv cams often seen for sale on ebay etc ?? appreciatte that at the price its not going to be state off the art pic / sound quality but would still be interested to hear from anyone here who has used one ??

wireless are crap avoid at all costs! markward has a decent wired set for sale on the for sale general section.

No good if Wi Fi is around I heard - similar frequency. No pics and no internet - dohhh!

yep as above wireless are crap - i'll shortly be selling onboard track cameras and have spent loads of time looking into this so i have learnt a lot, if you get a camera make sure it is CCD and NOT CMOS, preferebly a Sony CCD and at least 480TV lines.

Most are just plug and play nowadays and are dead easy.

avoid the crap sold by B&Q as well.

Hope the outgoing signal off the cam is low enough as to not upset any neighbours then ??!!

from searching around the net I have heard some good reports on thse particular cameras but as pointed out by yourself they do seem to not like being used alongside wifi !!!

okay then anyone any idea what would be involved in hooking a camera up to your pc being able to view your video remotely ??
is there much to this in the additional eqiupment, costs etc involved ??

have a look at maplins at their dvr systems, they are very good.

There are better and cheaper out there for the money

as I said before though markward has a really good setup with 4 cams for sale. reasonable price too. £250 for the lot irrc?

That is a good price - if they are decent cams with a DVR i'd ****** his hand off!!!!
