Anybody been to Cape Verde?
Need a few weeks in the sun come Febuary. Anybody been to the Cape Verde islands? I have a 16 month old and wife will be about 6.5 months pregnant. Would it be ok?

6.5 months is fine, but double check with airline first (just in case) also it may be worth requesting extra legroom for the flight....

If it is anything like Dakar, never drink the water, only ever from sealed bottle water. Especially important for the baby.
In the restaurants in Daker they are likely to bring you bottled water bottles which have been refilled from the tap. The ensuing illness is crippling for a grown up.
Maybe Cap Verde is better but just thought I would warn you of the possible risk.

Great stuff, and the tap water is ok enough for washing your teeth.....
A bit expensive for the quality they offer though.
Have you decided what company you are going with?

No didn't go. A friend went and told me its a great place in terms of natural beauty and beaches etc but lacks infrastructure. This wouldn't have bothered me a few years ago but not now with a young family.
Saying that the friend who went was 6 months pregnant!
