Angry Now it's getting silly...........

I've just watched the two first episodes of "Medium" on Sci-fi channel.

Each 50 minute episode had no less than FIVE advert breaks. One every 8 minutes or so.

Is this the way modern TV is going?

And if so, why are we paying ANYTHING to watch it via cable etc when the TV companies are coining it in adverts?

Where the **** is it going to end?

Patricia Arquette is quite fit, mind

Thats american TV for you. If you've ever been to the US there TV is peppered with adverts. program comes on, intro perhaps 3-5 minutes, adverts on for 10 minutes, adverts.....

TV program makers make shorter programs, make more money, broadcasters have more adverts lots, make more money!

Its sh!te!

Sky+ or Torrents is they way to go...

When I'm in America I find it horrible to watch programs like Lost 'live' as the adverts drive me insane.

You can still get Tivos, I believe. I very rarely watch anything live these days - I have absolutely no idea what the broadcast TV schedule looks like, nor have I watched a TV ad in weeks. Bliss!

Rapidshare is your friend Don't watch any American TV show on actual TV these days. Having watched the first series of 24 recently - I know I'm about 5 years behind - if I had to watch the adverts it would have done my head in! Ditto Prison Break.

As well as lots of adverts during the programmes there is about 5-7 minutes of adverts between programs, even on Channel 4 and 5 !!!
