Help required for TV/surround sound newbie plz
We currently have a Samsung flat screen TV and also a DVD player with a surround sound system on it (6 speakers). Now the speakers only work when playing a DVD.
My question is is there a way of sorting this so the TV can also play through the surround sound as well.
Sorry if this is a silly question but Im very new to all this.
All the wires for the speakers are in the back of the DVD player and the only connection between the DVD player and the TV is via a scart lead.
Any help appreciated

If the scart is fully wired then the stereo feed from the TV should be returning. You may need to select this in the TV menu's, and also select the DVD system to see it in its menu. Failing that, if the TV has a pair of audio out phono's, or even better, a digital audio out then connect that up and configure both units to see it. It still might not be possible, but your manual should tell you, or someone on AV Forums may know better.
