Question Spoof?

Anyone play Spoof – the pub game typically played by a group of lads with the loser buying the round? I used to play a lot in my drinking days but don’t see it so much now. It may even be illegal as it is gambling

Great fun although it can get a bit expensive especially if you lose a couple of rounds in a row

Details are on Wiki but basically you form a group, say 6 players, and each player holds out a clenched fist which holds either 0, 1, 2 or 3 objects (£1 coins are ideal but the value is irrelevant), the choice is his. Then you take it in turns to choose what the total number of objects is (you cannot choose a number that has already been declared). With 6 players it would be a number between 0 and 18. Anyone who gets it right is eliminated and the game continues until the loser is determined. dl

I remember this.
You call 'spoof' when you think the total being held is zero.

Yes, a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far ............)

Errrrrrr when I was in the Royal Navy. Quite a good game, especially when doing it for rounds.
