What would you get?
I am looking to get a new car shortly. I am going to be doing 500ish miles per week for the 1st 6months then not many miles at all so the car needs to be comfy for long journeys (170mile journeys). Not to bothered about fuel economy as after the 1st 6months it will be ok, but nothing less than 20mpg.
I am looking to spend between 35 and 45k.
Ones running through my head are:
Audi S5
BMW X5 (new shape)
BMW 535d M Sport
What other cars should I be thinking about? - I don’t want a car that is more than 1yr old.

BMW 645i ?
Mercedes E320 Cdi ?
I have both & can thoroughly recommend them. I used to have the 535d M Sport Tourer although it was slightly quicker than the E320 Cdi i prefer the ride in the Merc.

I don't really know what car I'd get out of that list!

I have just borrowed a Golf diesel from a friend and couldnt drive that for 3hrs at a time, I was uncomforatble after an hour - although it was good for short runs.
I prefer the S5 cause of the power and that there is not many about so that is good. Also like the X5 though.
