Railway/tube station on m40/m25 into london?
Calling the knowledge of SN
I need to get into london next friday for several days and ideally want to get the train in as I need my car to drive back around oxfordshire doing a few jobs.
I seem to remember seeing a large railway station on the right hand side of the M40 just before M25 junction (maybe Uxbridge ?). Can anyone shed any light on the best way forward. As long as I'm past oxford and hopefully fairly close to the M40.
Appreciate help (googles useless )

Sorry no, I know Didcot is fine. A friend uses Didcot or the Bicester line, but she joins the train further south than Bicester. i've driven past the station before and there is parking but not sure how much. Loads of street parking in bicester though.

London Underground website says £2.50 and there are 239 spaces.
Its the Chiltern line that runs thro' there as well as the Metropolitan line. The former takes 32 mins to Marylebone.

Uxbridge is a safe bet.
2 minute drive off M40 into Uxbridge town center. New clean cheap multistory (fairly wide bays too) quick 2 minute walk through chimes shopping center to the tube station. You can get thr metropolitan line into Baker street in about half hour or catch the less frequent picadilly line down past acton etc into covent garden area in about 45 minutes
