go for the sparco then, i'd say, DT's price looks ok, ( for once.....) Dunno if Nick Whale in Bromsgrove still have the sparco shop, but they were good for pricing last time i looked, might be worth a try.

It doesn't matter what it looks like at the end of the day, it's which one fits the best and is comfortable.
I discovered that years ago on my motor biking days.
I liked the look of a particular Shoei, but the fit wasn't good, and from then on I've always bought Arai's.
So try before you buy. Simple really.

I've seen some horrendous accidents where helmets have failed and they ain't pretty.
Would you carry a new laptop around in a carrier bag? Of course you wouldn't.
Buy the best you can reasonably afford.
Arai's are my favourite, but Simpson, Bell, Sparco, Peltor etc etc are all first division.
If you're using it in an open top car consider a helmet with suitable aerodynamics; if you've tried a regular helmet in a radical and you'll what I'm talking about- it feels like its trying to pull your head off.
Some helmets- not necessarily expensive- are designed for open top cars, so take your time, try them on and make sure they fit properly, and never buy second hand as you don't know where its been.

that's a bit like playing cricket with a tesco's bag protecting your nuts rather than a box. without the brain, the rest of the body don't work too well.

Well picked mine up tonight and it seems pretty aerodynamic to me as its designed for a motorcycle.
motorsport approved so it will suffice to me.

And thats fine if i start getting more and more into trackdays i'll get a better helmet and an Arai is better helmet although i'd argue and say that mine is possibly just as safe and will do for the time being
Prefer a Simpson Bandit though

Yes I can understand the problem. Well they must all be approved for safety so the most comfortable one is probably best since you don't want to have one that is difficult to get on and off or is painful in some way while you are wearing it. Its weight can be significant too.
