Anyone else getting calls at work from never heard of before companies aledgedly working alongside BT wanting to send in a 'manager' or an 'engineer' to check our telephone systems and line network for digital?? surely if it was for real BT would be able to tell these companies who's got what anyway?

Had 2 already this week and told them to s#d off.......

If they can provide you with a reference and a contact nos for someone within BT take it, check it and get back if you feel the need to know more.
IF they cant provide any of this info tell them to sling their hook

they are a bunch of muppets and i'm having real problems with them understanding the most basic of requirements....

It is annoying, i used a marketing company to get my company some leads and they where doing the exact same thing.

They said mentioning BT allowed the door to open easier, my response was that they are openly lying and told them to f#ck right off.

For every customer who likes BT there wil be 5 who hate them so it may work in there favour sometimes but not always.

There is also a lot a cr#p being spouted to companies about the impact 21CN will have on their business and that the phone system they use MUST be changed. Utter bullsh#t.

Sounds like salesmen just mentioning them being a partner in a big company making an unknown off company sounding like they have a good reputation, happens at most places in the industry.
