PDAView Full Version : EggHeads

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dEaDfRoGDec 11, 2003, 21:17
I was wondering if anyone else here has had the misfortune to watch the BBC 1 gameshow "Eggheads" that airs, annoyingly, during my lunch break (12:30 until 1:00)

The idea is perhaps a good one. They have a team of "challengers" up against a team made up of so-called "eggheads", including that old bird who won Millionaire and a couple of others.

One Egghead in particular calls himself "CJ" - I'm unsure what he's actually won, but I challenge anyone here to name a bigger **** on TV at the moment. I don't quite know what it is - his stupid ****ing snide expressions when the opposing team gets a question wrong, the fact that he has to explain in graphic detail why he's decided upon the answer he's going for - I just don't know.

Is it just me? Does anyone really care? Who knows.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

netniVDec 11, 2003, 21:24
working to hard to have a break during the day. Having said that... no I haven't watched it ... what else did you think I was gonna say :P

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dEaDfRoGDec 11, 2003, 21:33
Trust me mate, the very LAST thing you want to do after a hard bit of graft is to sit and watch this guy at work!!

They lost today too, the challengers beat them. Have some of that you self-fancying, egotistical ****!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

netniVDec 11, 2003, 21:38
Sorry, confused there, is that me or them your refering to at the end ? It could be either!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dEaDfRoGDec 11, 2003, 21:48
lol, it was them!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ace_mcflyDec 12, 2003, 00:13
I share your pain mate!!!!

CJ is without doubt one of the biggest ****s on TV.

WHY SO SMUG..... WHY SO ****ING SMUG?!!!!!

******* **** *******!!!!!!

Jesus!!!

Yes him and the "still international Mastermind champion" guy **** me right off!!!! Yes - they have to go that little bit further with the answers - like the speccy dude who answered "who did Zoe Ball marry?" with "Fatboy Slim..... aka Norman Cooke".... oh jesus I want to ****ing beat their faces to a ****ing pulp!!!

They HATE losing and its ****ing brilliant when they get a question wrong! They look as if their life is falling apart.... sad ****ers!!

But it has to be said - CJ is THE MOST SMUG ****WIT ON TV.... I can only hope he contracts HIV and dies very quickly.... or slowly..... SUCH A SMUG ******* OF A ****!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ToxicDec 12, 2003, 00:49
CJ stands for **** Jockey

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dEaDfRoGDec 12, 2003, 01:15
"SUCH A SMUG ******* OF A ****"

This sums him up perfectly!

In a perfect world they'll do "EggHeads Live" for xmas and the parasite from "Alien" would erupt from his stomach, causing him to convulse in torturous agony as his internal organs are sprayed across the shocked faces of the other ***** on his team.

But it isn't a perfect world so I guess I'll just have to hope the smug **** ****s up on tomorrows show!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dogbombDec 13, 2003, 20:29
Hahaha... I love this show, just for the reasons you have all said! I adore their smugness.

I think that little old lady one, is the only person I could stand being in a room with for more than 5 minutes.

Actually, that being said... we need a dogbomb.co.uk team to take them on! I find a lot of the questions REALLY easy.

Anyone wanna join my team?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dEaDfRoGDec 14, 2003, 22:38
I'm in - I reckon I could get across the studio and land a few good punches before security got to me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dogbombDec 15, 2003, 12:23
Haha. Seriously... anyone else?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UnoChildDec 15, 2003, 12:30
I'll definately do it. You know i would!!

Eggheads
The BBC is looking for teams to take part in its new quiz show, Eggheads.

Do you consider yourselves to be the best team in your local pub quiz?

Are you and your work colleagues a general knowledge force to be reckoned with?

We are looking for teams of six to pit their wits against our mighty team of Eggheads.

If you think your team has what it takes to defeat our general knowledge goliaths and win £1000, get in touch as soon as possible.

Phone us on: 020 7432 2938
or email: eggheads@12yard.com

I see a huge opportunity for some social terrrorisim here. WHo would be able to realistically make it ??????????????

Depends when and where, but I will make an appearance if I can - as long as I get a bit of notice so's I can organise stuff.

Specialist Subjects: Maths/Science, Foreign Languages, Computers, European History 1850-1980.

heh heh well no doubt they would have to have a number of heats as to weed out the ignorant and undesirable but is possible, having had a look at the plethora of shows that are listed, we "could" have so much fun.

The only downfall being that other than the lottery draw i shoudl not think all that mant of them are live so any social terrosist acts would never make it to air.

subtle can be far more effective.

The thing is, people must be taking the **** out of TV execs all the time. They'll be sensitive to it. And all that coke too...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dEaDfRoGDec 15, 2003, 18:43
The EggHeads annihalted the opposing team today, the final round was 5 v 1 and they had a ****ing field day - CJ was his usual irritating, smug-****** self, but today I was particularly unsettled by the fat bespectacled **** with the enormous pork chops who think's he's the missing member of Monty Python.

I couldn't possibly sit there with them leering at me from across the studio when I was about to fail. And if I was on the victorious team, how could I not shout "****ing have that CJ, you smug looking ****" across the studio.

No, it's no good. I couldn't.

isaac huntDec 21, 2003, 13:02
Didn't realise we had this CJ thread going. What a ****. Why did they choose this thicko for the eggheads team. He's won **** all. He's just a TV quiz ***** who needs a ****ing good kicking. To think the smug little ******* is on a good earner courtesy of our ****ing dough grates on me bad. The thick **** wouldn't have reached a grand on Millionaire. I hope the **** gets struck down with his own initials and dies a slow, painful death. Footnote though, I'd give that Judith Keppel one.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JedichefJan 9, 2004, 21:59
i'll join the team.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MinxJan 14, 2004, 16:36
Oh, spiritual home of a thread, here I come.

This would be awesome, you absolutely have to do this. I would volunteer myself, but Im a bit tied up at the moment and sore at my failed audition for Supermarket Sweep. Well actually, I didnt fail it, it was my mates fault, she failed the exam.

Anyway, I am in total agreement with the sentiment expressed here. CJ De Mooi is a **** of the highest order. JR Minx really hates Chris the "Still the International Mastermind Champion", he says he scares him.

I love the fact that they are all so different and agree that I could prolly only spend time in a room with Daphne without kicking her head in coz shes the Denise Robertson Kindly Granny (tm) type.

Judith Keppel, everyone knows, is related to Camilla Parker Bowles and perhaps could be the most delightfully shining example of how inbreeding can really screw up your life (Just say "No", cousins!) [/libellous and prolly untrue comments based on opinion]
Then theres CJ, who regularly calls into the beauty salon opened by David Dickinson and Dale Winton for a top up on his permatan, an eyebrow wax and an injection of smug ****. (Interpret that how you will...). What is with that mans eyebrows? He looks permanently startled!

I love this, and would be proud to see you all on there. If I could change anything, I would stop the Eggheads having multiple choice questions throughout, they are "arguably the best quiz team in Britain" so they should be fine without them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

isaac huntJan 14, 2004, 17:22
Got to agree re the multiple questions. Neither side should have them. I don't call it a quiz if they have multiple choices. CJ would seriously show himself up if he had to answer questions without choices. There must be 10,000 brainier ****s who've been on quiz shows than him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MinxJan 14, 2004, 20:44
I went looking for a photo of CJ as I fancied a change of avatar, but I couldnt find a single image of him on the internet. What I did find was some serious allegations that potential contestants that were too good were finding themselves BANNED from taking on the Eggheads. How UTTERLY shocking of the BBC to be so corrupt, if thats true...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CJ De Mooi, asking for help on trying to improve his general knowledge!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dEaDfRoGJan 14, 2004, 21:21
This merely confirms my initial claim - that there is no bigger a **** on TV today than this man.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

isaac huntJan 15, 2004, 10:26
An absolute ****ing classic Minx. Surely this should put the smarmy **** to the top of the MATMH waiting list.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MinxJan 15, 2004, 23:12
Oh, believe me, If I happen to be online Sunday afternoon, and there happens to come a vacancy, and I happen to be first there, HE'S IN. I will be here..... Race you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BigDanOct 20, 2004, 13:48
I watch Eggheads with the same dislike for Cj as everyone else it seems. The inordinate nodding or shaking of his head to everyone elses answers makes for extremely cringe-worthy television. If CJ could get his own questions right it wouldn't be so bad, he is surely being carried by the other eggheads. The most satisfying moment was his answer of the chipmunk question he got wrong last week by agreeing with Chris.

BAN THIS TWATT FROM DAYTIME TV!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mikey GOct 20, 2004, 14:07
Some girlies from the Beeb came to my local pub quiz night and invited me and 2 mates on the show.

No, we said. Off with you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MinxOct 20, 2004, 19:44
Having watched it a lot now, because I love it so, I have to say that CJs eyebrows deserve their own equity card. Each. Frankly, they are stunning actors in their own right.

They do "Tunnel Eyes" and "Quizzical Stupidity" and "Blank and Total Ignorance", and in my book, that gives them variety show levels of appeal.

and lets not forget this beauty...

As Dogbomb said when he located this link "We've found the motherlode".

C.J. de Mooi - Welcome

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Derek GearyApr 26, 2006, 21:50
Anyone been watching this show Eggheads recently. I totally agree with you all. CJ de Mooi is possibly the most ****ish **** of them all. That ****** Kev Ashman is also a **** of the highest order. Daphne Fowler, in addition is a silly old ****, whilst Chris Hughes a fat four-eyed **** of the first degree. That Keppel bird, now I would do, from behind. Dermot Murnaghan is a smarmy **** as well.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TobesterApr 26, 2006, 22:53
Could he be more annoying than Hucknell?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

mrsexybadmanApr 26, 2006, 23:37
three minutes of the show was enough.

It is pants.

I was so pleased to read this thread today, I now know that i am not alone in my sheer hate of that ultra smug ******* known as CJ DE MOOI. I have never been a violent individual but the sight of this arrogant, smug know all ******* just brings out the undying urge in me to KICK HIS ****ING HEAD IN !!!! YOU ARE A ******* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headbang:

OOOO minxy, you just KNOW you shouldn't have put that on there.
I'm currently awaiting my confirmation email then CJ will be but a PM away. . .

Let the games begin XD

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I, PhaedraApr 9, 2007, 22:29
He's probably the thickest of the lot... though that Millionaire one (Judy?) is pretty stupid as well. I want to know why everyone chooses her for history when she's related to most of the ****ing monarchs they ask questions on...

The smug nodding thing really gets my goat because most of the time I get the impression he didn't actually know the answer, but since Chris or Kevin (aka the bright ones) said it, he knows it's right and it's safe to nod.

Also, the sympathetic "ahh you didn't know that... I did, but I can understand how hard the question was" looks he gives the opposing team make me want to ram a brick through his skull.

He's such a freaking ****. I remember reading something once where he said he spends a lot of time "making lists" as someone like him "unfortunately" has to. Somehow I can't imagine Kevin having to sit at home and swot every night. I mean none of them have lives obviously, but at least three of them are naturally intelligent.

That program really annoys me but my mother watches it so I see it quite a lot. She hates CJ too though.

oxbumApr 12, 2007, 12:08
I would like to say how much i disagree with the comments about the EGGHEADS, particularly CJ. I can't help thinking that their comments are all about jealousy because their brains are so much smaller than the EGGHEADS.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

XavierApr 12, 2007, 12:12
Actually, their brains will be about the same size, yes even CJ's, despite the fact that he spends more time out of the final round than in it. That doesn't sound like the qualifications of a master braniac to me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I, PhaedraApr 12, 2007, 22:17

Why do you feel the need to shout the word Eggheads?

Very funny and appropriate comments for a complete 4rse.

One question - how the hell do you come across / contribute to a community like this? they make this board seem quite tame...abuse takes on a whole new meaning with this crowd.
