When I heard this last week I couldn't help thinking that it was empty and needed a male vocal alongside her, agree she's technically amazing....... but left me a bit cold, bit too shrieky at the end for me as well, can't be bothered with all the Whitney whooahhh wooooh aoooooooooooooeeeooooooooaaaah ****, always loved the song and maybe that's the prob, dunno

I saw her on the box recently when Celine Dion was on the the same show. I think she was singing "Killing me Softly". Really terrific and there wasn't a gnat's whisker's difference between the two of them in terms of performance which is pretty impressive bearing in mind Celine has been a pro for a decade or more.
I still remember a thread on here when Leona was competing in X factor and she got slated by many (not by me
) with comments like "passable karaoke style" 
In fact I find watching the X factor now rather a let down as nobody will come close to Leona for a long time.

James, it'll probably come out on an Live Lounge album eventually. I downloaded the last one, there's some good stuff on there, it sorts out the wheat from the chaff

Yeah she wasn't at her best......
Always surprises me how the tiniest of singers have such powerful voices. You expected 20 stone Pavarotti to churn out the decibels but not someone like Celine or Piaff, for example. Lulu as well I suppose awful though her songs were IMHO d
