Default Which Gasket?

I need a good quality instant gasket to mate a sump to the block.

It needs to be a rubberized one, not one that goes solid.

I phoned Loctite and they recommended their 5910 (300ml) or the smaller version badged Quick Gasket. Can't find any in local suppliers.

Any ideas?

Hermetite instant gasket (orange) -- Halfords c.£6

Used it a fair few times on my motorbikes (engine casings etc) so I know it works well

I just did this exact same job two weeks ago on my 'spare' car, a Fiat Punto. I used the Loctite 5910 instant gasket, which is available from Halfords (at least it is from my branch). It's expensive (about £13?) but can be bought cheaper online I think. I was in a hurry though, and none of the motor factors had anything other than little tubes.
