The previous model was excellent, and I paid double that for it. So the opinion is...

....git.

Otherwise - can you afford bigger? Mine looked huge for a couple of weeks, then it seemed to shrink (missus)

Got the screen. Love it. I mean LOADS.

Get over to AVForums and look for the best screen settings. They make a HELL of a difference to the picture quality.

A thoroughly recommended buy!!

Get a 1080p upscaler DVD player and if you have Sky HD... well lets just say Sunrise Earth looks bloody amazing on it.

Thumbs up

Cheers for that

Still using a 32" Sony CRT (KV-32FX75U) in the lounge thats around 5 yrs old now. Nothing wrong with it, picture is fantastic blah blah blah, but wifey likes the profile of the LCD's (got a 26" mounted on the wall in our bedroom)and wants to get shut of the Sony CRT. Yes, I admit it was my idea, but if wifey thinks it was her idea she can't moan about spending more money (its what I do best!)

Its a good time for us to buy as we've just changed one of the credit cards to one thats 0% on purchasers for 18months. We'll buy the TV on that card and if anything goes wrong with the TV the credit card company can get it sorted!

The thread you want to go to is: Samsung LEM86/7 thread - AVForums

This gives ALL you need to know - with links to other useful info

One thing to note - watch out for the R model. This is a lower spec one and will NOT display true 1080p.

I must say, I think the first disappointment I had was not being able to do Pic in Pic for non-HD sources (this is the LEM60). And nowhere to plug a memory card. And I don't leave it on standby as we have a mahoosive blue LED circle which is really annoying.

The right settings make a world of difference though.
